QUALITY CONTROL AND QUALITY ASSURANCE SYSTEMS
We are equipped with a well maintained and managed testing laboratory with various modern testing facilities like HPLC, GC, TLC, KF, Melting Pt Apparatus, IR Balance etc. The Code, Good Manufacturing Practice identifies requirements of manufacturing processes which are specific to the final stage of the bulk product inclusive of isolation and drying. The manufacturing essentials deals with control of isolation and drying, record keeping and special environmental care in the final stages (i.e. centrifuge to packaging).
In order to ensure that all the manufacturing is carried out in accordance with guidelines set by the government, we have established specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for testing, handling of RAW material, new vendor acceptance criteria, testing of intermediates, manufacturing process, water testing (di-mineralized water, distilled water, potable water etc.) as well as specific procedures for handling of finished products. We maintain stringent in-house process parameters (e.g. clarity of solution and assay) to ensure a clean manufacturing process.
We encourage frequent training programs for CGMP, Safety, Ecology and Critical Process Operations to achieve zero defect finished product.
MATERIAL SAFETY MEASURES
A trained Safety Officer is employed full-time with specific duties which include training the ground personnel and supervisors on storage, handling and hazards of the chemicals and reactions carried out in the unit. Annual mock drills are carried out and all the material safety data sheets are updated and managed regularly.
All personnel are frequently trained and educated regarding personal safety, ecology and MSDS information. Our technical team i.e. Production team, QC and Process Control unit go through internal audits every six months as a part of the safety procedure.
ENVIRONMENTAL SAFETY MEASURES
Continuous Gas Scrubbing system and Liquid Effluent collection, neutralization and storage facilities are available in-house. For secondary and tertiary systems, treatments are carried out before disposal to the effluent channel which connects to the common effluent treatment plant in the Industrial Park.
Regular Government audits and independent audits by approved agencies are carried out on a yearly basis. Air monitoring schedules are in place and records of which are maintained by government approved agencies. The solid wastes collection and storage system is available in-house, the disposal of which is done by the government agencies. |
